Surgical/Trauma ICU — Travel RN | Night Shift | Philadelphia, PA

This high-acuity Surgical and Trauma ICU manages a complex, diverse patient population including post-neurosurgery, vascular, thoracic, and orthopedic surgical cases, as well as liver transplant recipients, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and multi-system organ failure. The unit also cares for trauma patients presenting with MVAs, falls, gunshot wounds, and open abdomens.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Floating required if census is low
• 13-week contract

Clinical Scope

Nurses perform and manage: mechanical ventilation, fresh tracheostomy care, CRRT/CVVHD, arterial line management, central line care, chest tube insertion/removal, ICP and EVD monitoring, pulmonary artery/Swan-Ganz monitoring, procedural sedation, massive transfusion protocol, hypothermia protocol, and vasoactive/cardiac drip titration. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory therapy, pharmacy, IV team, and rapid response.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Valid Pennsylvania or Compact RN license (required at submission)
• BLS and ACLS required; TNCC preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome
