Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN for night shift work. You'll care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring and post-operative management in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Shift & Contract Details

• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 23, 2026

Required Qualifications

• 12 months of permanent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience
• Active, permanent Ohio nursing license or compact state license (in hand at submission)
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in a related specialty (references from the past 12 months; charge RN references accepted)

Clinical Expectations

• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Provide care for medical-surgical patients with telemetry monitoring needs
• Perform ECG rhythm recognition (assessed during orientation with acceptable score required)
• Complete competency assessments (safeMedicate) during onboarding; two attempts allowed to pass

Compliance Requirements

• Valid background check (no open cases)
• Current COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen with nicotine testing required within 12 months of start
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 48 hours of contract signing
• Annual Hands-On Competency required for nurses on continuous contracts of 1+ year

Extensions

Available for up to 18 months; 6-month break required thereafter (deferment possible with facility approval).
