Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. You'll work alongside physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to manage patients across a broad spectrum of emergent and urgent conditions—from through discharge.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rapid and comprehensive assessments to prioritize patient care
• Provide direct nursing care including medication administration, treatments, and emergency interventions
• Respond to trauma activations, codes, and rapid patient deterioration
• Manage patient flow through admission, treatment, monitoring, and discharge phases
• Collaborate with the care team on individualized treatment planning and patient education
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Uphold infection control, safety, and de-escalation protocols in a high-volume setting
• Contribute to unit quality improvement and departmental initiatives

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (or compact license as applicable)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
• Minimum 1+ years of Emergency Department experience
• Strong knowledge of protocols and ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity settings

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse)

Schedule

• 3 x 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekends and holidays as needed
• 13-week contract
• Start date: October 16, 2026
