Cardiac/Vascular Sonographer

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Cardiac/Vascular Sonographer for a diagnostic cardiology unit. This is a 10-hour day shift on a 10 days on / 4 days off schedule, working 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM (varies). The contract is 89 weeks with guaranteed 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac/vascular sonography
• AHA BLS certification
• RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist)
• One of the following echocardiography credentials:
• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) – ARDMS
• RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) or RCCS (Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer) – CCI
• CRCS (Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer) – Sonography Canada
• ACS (Advanced Cardiac Sonographer) – CCI

Holiday Schedule

You must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day) and 1 of the 4 minor holidays (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).

What You'll Do

Perform comprehensive cardiac and vascular ultrasound studies, including echocardiograms and related diagnostic imaging, in a busy cardiology department.
