Cardiac Cath Lab – Pre/Post RN | Days | Cedar Rapids, IA
Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: Monday–Friday, 5×8-hour shifts starting as early as 0600 (start time may vary based on case schedule)
About the Unit
Clinical Responsibilities
- Pre- and post-operative care for cardiac cath and EP patients
- Groin and radial access site management
- TR band management
- Recovery monitoring and patient stabilization post-procedure
Required Experience & Credentials
- Minimum 15 months of Cath Lab, Critical Care, and/or PACU experience in a hospital setting
- Pre/post-op recovery experience
- Groin and radial site management experience
- TR band management experience
- Active BLS (AHA or ARC) and ACLS (AHA)
- Iowa RN license
- Valid driver's license
Preferred
- Recent or current Cardiac Cath or cardiac post-op care experience
- First-time travelers welcome with at least 36 months of total experience
Submission Requirements
- Resume reflecting 24 months of current Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Pre/Post Op Surgery experience
- Discipline-specific skills checklist (Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Pre/Post Op)
- At least one professional reference (charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager level) within the past 24 months
Additional Notes
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Holiday work (1–2 winter holidays) may be required unless the unit is closed
