Occupational Therapist – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to join the rehabilitation team. You'll work with patients recovering from cognitive and functional limitations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive screenings and evaluations for patients with cognitive and ADL (Activities of Daily Living) deficits
- Develop tailored plans of care aligned with regulatory and clinical standards
- Provide skilled rehabilitative interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, and modalities
- Assess patient progress regularly and adjust treatments based on outcomes
- Offer consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
- Document all clinical information accurately in the electronic health record
- Participate in care conferences, utilization reviews, and interdisciplinary meetings
- Supervise occupational therapy assistants, aides, and students as needed
- Maintain adherence to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice standards
Requirements
- Active Missouri OT license (required at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of OT experience
- Long-term care or rehabilitation setting experience required
- New graduates considered with Level II fieldwork experience
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (8-hour days)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- On-Call: Schedule to be determined by the facility
- Weekends: No weekend requirement
