Radiation Therapist
Position Overview
The facility seeks a Radiation Therapist to deliver therapeutic radiation treatments to cancer patients in an outpatient setting. You will work closely with physicians and dosimetrists to administer prescribed radiation therapy with precision and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients accurately, selecting appropriate anatomic and technical parameters
- Deliver treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team
- Maintain detailed records of all therapy sessions
- Maintain and adjust equipment, including the linear accelerator, to ensure optimal performance
- Ensure high-quality image submission to PACS with correct markers and patient information
- Comply with all regulatory standards and quality assurance protocols
- Keep the department clean, safe, and orderly
Position Details
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Start Date: October 18, 2026
- Location: Wichita, KS
Required Credentials
- Current state radiation therapy license or certificate
- Professional references and background clearance
- Standard healthcare vaccinations and screenings (MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hepatitis B, influenza, TB testing, health statement)
- Drug screening
