Radiologic Technologist – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join the radiology department on the night shift. You'll prepare patients for diagnostic imaging examinations, explain procedures in clear, understandable terms, and perform radiologic procedures as ordered by physicians.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift, Sunday–Thursday (no weekends)
• 13-week contract
• Start date: September 23, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for radiologic examinations using proper technique
• Operate CR, Fluoro, and DR equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform patient identifier verification (name and date of birth) before each exam
• Prepare and administer IV and oral contrast media as needed
• Assist radiologists during fluoroscopic and special procedures
• Transport portable radiographic equipment to various departments (ED, OR, PACU, nursing units)
• Apply proper sterile technique during examinations in surgical environments
• Transfer images to PACS, manage document routing, and adjust priority for STAT/URGENT cases
• Document patient history, symptoms, imaging limitations, and study details
• Demonstrate radiation safety practices consistent with ALARA standards
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Perform clerical duties and quality assurance tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved Radiological Technology training program
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registration in Radiology
• Current BLS certification (renewed every two years)
• One year of radiologic procedure experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and radiologic safety
