Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department seeks an experienced RN to provide professional nursing care to patients across all age groups—from neonates to geriatrics. You'll work evening shifts (10:45 AM–11:15 PM and/or 2:45 PM–3:15 AM) as part of a collaborative team delivering high-quality emergency care.

Key Responsibilities

• patients upon arrival and continuously reassess to prioritize care based on physical and psycho-social needs
• Conduct hourly rounding in the department and half-hour rounding in the waiting area
• Document comprehensive nursing histories, including chief complaint, health status, and relevant clinical information
• Develop and update individualized care plans in response to changing patient needs
• Manage complications and emergencies according to facility policies and ENA standards
• Recognize acute changes in patient condition and direct appropriate interventions
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Ensure emergency supplies and equipment are available and functional

Required Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania RN licensure
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (American Heart Association)
• Valid NIHSS certification
• Strong verbal, written, and non-verbal communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress environments
• Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills

Contract Details

• 12-hour evening shifts
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract
• On-call assignments as needed based on volume fluctuations
• Start date: September 23, 2026

Experience with electronic health records is preferred.
