Pediatric Emergency Room – Night Shift RN
Position Overview
Join the pediatric emergency team at a freestanding emergency facility in the Humble, TX area. This is a 13-week night shift role (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) offering 36 guaranteed hours per week.
About the Unit
Clinical Scope
- and stabilization of pediatric emergencies
- IV placement, Foley catheterization, and EKG interpretation
- Point-of-care lab testing performed onsite
- Specimen collection (flu, COVID, strep swabs)
- Moderate sedation administration
- Assessment and intervention for acute pediatric presentations
Requirements
- Current Licenses & Certifications: RN license, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS
- Essential Skills: IV skills, EKG skills, acuity assessment
- Preferred: ENPC, CPI certification
Additional Details
- Rotating weekends (Saturday/Sunday or 4 weekend days per schedule)
- Royal blue scrubs
- Float requirements to other freestanding emergency locations and the main pediatric ER as needed
- Team player mindset and flexibility with assignments essential
