Emergency Department Nurse
Location: Rockport, TX
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role
The facility's Emergency Department is seeking a full-time RN for a 13-week contract. You'll work in a fast-paced 6-room ED with 4 vertical beds, supporting a team of 3 RNs per shift (including a Charge RN) and 1 Paramedic. Patient ratios are 3–4 patients per nurse.
Responsibilities
Your day will include:
- IV placement and blood draws
- 12-lead EKGs
- Foley catheter insertion
- Orthopedic splinting and wound care
- Vital sign monitoring and patient assessment
- Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
Requirements
- Current RN license (TX)
- BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications required
- Prior experience in an Emergency Department is essential
- Ability to float to other areas of the ED as needed
- Comfortable working weekends
Unit Details
- Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
- Dress Code: Blue scrubs
- Equipment: Standard ED monitors, BiPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, AED
