Medical-Surgical Nursing – Acute Care
Position Overview
The facility is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for its medical-surgical and telemetry unit. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment with the flexibility to float to other units as needed.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Hours: 36 guaranteed per week
- Contract Duration: 10 weeks
- Start Date: November 16, 2025
- Weekend/Holiday Expectation: Every other weekend; holidays as required
- Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
Patient Care Details
- Patient population: Medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Clinical environment: Acute care acuity
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing
- Registered Nurse license (Alabama or Compact; no temporary licenses)
- Current AHA BLS and Red Cross certifications
- 2 years overall nursing experience in specialty (will consider 18 months with highest-level professional licensure and 1 year recent specialty experience)
- NURSYS verification
Preferred
- ACLS certification
