Assignment Overview
The facility is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work in an acute care setting supporting patients across inpatient, outpatient, and rehabilitation areas.
Shift & Schedule
- 8-hour shifts, Tuesday–Saturday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
- 40 guaranteed hours per week
- Weekend requirements vary by assignment
Clinical Scope
You'll treat patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, cognitive impairments, and swallowing difficulties. Your caseload varies by setting:
- Outpatient: Up to 9 patients per day
- Inpatient: Up to 13 patients per day
- Rehabilitation: Varies based on assignment
Bedside and video swallowing studies are core to this role. You may float to other assigned areas as needed.
Requirements
- CCC-SLP (ASHA certification) required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (inpatient experience may allow flexibility)
- Travel and trauma experience preferred
Support & Onboarding
Rehabilitation aides, OTAs, and PTAs (typically 2) assist in rehab. You'll receive 1.5 days of floor-specific orientation with EMR training included.
Dress Code
Maroon polo shirt, dark pants, closed-toed shoes. Lab coat optional.
Cancellation Policy
The facility may cancel up to 4 shifts during your 13-week assignment.
