Physical Therapist Assistant

Physical Therapist Assistant | Outpatient / Inpatient / Rehab | Northridge, CA

Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: 8 hours, Tuesday–Saturday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM | Guaranteed Hours: 40/week

This contract supports a multi-setting rehabilitation department serving outpatient, inpatient, and dedicated rehab populations. Clinicians may be assigned to one area or float across settings based on departmental need.

Patient Population & Caseload

• Outpatient: up to 9 patients per day — primarily orthopedic and neurological conditions
• Inpatient: up to 13 patients per day — ortho, post-surgical, neuro, trauma, and cardiac cases (no NICU, PICU, pediatric, or ICU assignments)
• Rehab: variable caseload — neurological conditions, spinal cord injuries, and trauma

Requirements

• Active PT license in California required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year of clinical experience required
• Travel experience preferred; trauma experience a plus
• Inpatient clinical background may be considered in lieu of a full year of experience

What to Expect

• Rehab aides and OTA/PTAL support staff on-site
• Weekend schedule may vary by requisition
• Holidays not required
• 1.5-day department-specific orientation provided
• Uniform: Maroon polo shirt, dark-colored pants, closed-toed shoes (lab coat optional)

Cancellation Policy: The facility may cancel up to 4 shifts over a 13-week assignment.
