Emergency Department Nurse – Rochester, NY

About the Role

Join an experienced, collaborative team in a high-acuity Emergency Department. You'll provide direct patient care in a modern environment serving a diverse patient population, with specialized expertise in geriatric emergency medicine.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 12-hour shifts rotating between 3p–3a and 7p–7a
• Hours: 36 per week (guaranteed 112 hours over the contract)
• Weekend requirement: One weekend shift per contracted week, or two weekend shifts every other weekend
• Holiday requirement: Minimum one holiday per contract
• Scheduling flexibility: Request a rotating schedule or choose a fixed block (Thurs/Fri/Sat, Fri/Sat/Sun, or Sat/Sun/Mon)
• On-call: Optional but recommended; averages 2 hours per week, available in 4-, 8-, 12-, or 16-hour blocks (7p–7a only)

Requirements

• Active New York RN license
• Current AHA BLS and NIH certifications
• Minimum 2 years recent emergency nursing experience
• 2 years U.S. work history required for international candidates
• Residence more than 50 miles from the facility
