Medical Intensive Care Unit – RN
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week assignment in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. You'll provide direct care to adult and geriatric patients with complex, high-acuity diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, multiorgan dysfunction, ARDS, renal and liver failure, and post-cardiac arrest states.
Schedule & Contract Details
- Shift: Day 3×12-hour (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) with rotation to nights approximately 12 shifts per 13-week contract (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (Friday/Saturday); no call required
- Holiday Requirement: One winter holiday (Eve and Day)
- Time Off: Two pre-approved days available
Clinical Scope
Requirements
- BSN required
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- Minimum 2+ years nursing experience
- MICU experience required
- Valid state RN license at time of submission
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions honored)
Float & Support
Float to ICU, intermediate, and telemetry units as needed. Multidisciplinary support includes respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and specialist services.
Orientation: 36 hours
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
