Telemetry Nursing – 12-Hour Days
Assignment Overview
The facility is seeking experienced telemetry nurses for a 91-week contract with flexible start dates beginning late October 2026. This is an acute-care nursing role with guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Schedule & Expectations
- 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- 2 weekends per 4-week cycle
- Holidays as needed
- You must prioritize this travel assignment and cannot hold a second job during your contract
- You cannot have been employed as permanent or per diem staff at another facility in this health system within the past 12 months
Clinical Scope
You will float between telemetry units across multiple floors, monitoring cardiac patients and managing medical-surgical telemetry cases. This is fast-paced, acuity-appropriate work in an acute-care setting.
Requirements
- Current RN license (BSN not required)
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Willingness to float between assigned units
Location & Lifestyle
The facility is centrally located near Yosemite National Park (1–2 hour drive), outdoor recreation areas including several lakes, and charming nearby towns. You're 2 hours from San Francisco and Sacramento, and 1 hour from Fresno and Modesto. California housing costs are offset by the region's affordability compared to coastal areas.
Contract Terms
- 91-week assignment with option to extend
- Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week period (3 shifts if contract is shorter)
