ICU Registered Nurse — Night Shift | Newark, NY | 13-Week Contract

This adult ICU role offers night shift coverage in a collaborative critical care environment supported by an interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, and social services.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3×12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start: December 7, 2026
• Active New York RN license required at time of submission
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility

Required Certifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Charge experience highly preferred
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Prior electronic charting experience required

Clinical Skills Required

• Arterial line and central line management
• PICC line management
• Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Continuous IV sedation and neuromuscular blockade
• IV insulin protocols and procedural sedation
• Blood product administration
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• 12-lead EKG acquisition
• Thermoregulation (hypothermia/hyperthermia protocols)
• Isolation precautions and infection prevention
• Phlebotomy and IV insertion

Additional Notes

• Pre-orientation modules completed prior to start date
• Requested time off limited to no more than 10 days per contract
