Acute Care Float RN – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work as an acute care float, providing care across multiple clinical units. You'll be assigned daily by the nursing supervisor to areas of greatest need, bringing flexibility and adaptability to a dynamic care environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM, including 30-minute lunch)
• Weekends: Every other weekend required
• No call required
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP

Float Unit Assignments

You may be assigned to:

• Medical (acute care, comfort care, observation)
• Surgery and GI
• Trauma
• Orthopedics and joint replacement
• Neurology
• Vascular
• Pulmonary
• Cardiac surgery and general cardiac
• Medical nephrology and oncology

Patient ratios vary based on unit acuity and census.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience
• Active, unencumbered RN license (TN or multi-state compact required)
• BLS certification
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
