Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN — Travel Contract

Easley, SC | Days | 13-Week Contract

This Med/Surg Telemetry unit cares for an adult patient population with a focus on cardiac monitoring, stroke (CVA), and post-surgical recovery, including total joint replacement patients. The unit maintains an active, collaborative care environment supported by IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour day shifts, 07:00–19:30
• Every other weekend required; may vary based on unit need
• Floating to other units or campuses is required based on census needs

Required Credentials

• Active South Carolina RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• At least 1 year of electronic health record experience required

Clinical Skills Required

• Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Blood product administration
• Management of surgical drains
• CVA/stroke patient care
• ER holding experience preferred

Additional Details

• Patient ratio: up to 5 patients per nurse
• 24-hour on-site orientation; pre-start compliance modules required (up to 16 hours, reimbursable)
• Orientation begins on Mondays
• Flu vaccine required; no exemptions accepted
• First-time travelers will be considered based on clinical experience
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
