Cardiac Catheterization & Electrophysiology Lab – Travel RN
Position Overview
Join the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab team for a 12-week assignment. You'll work day shifts (7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.) in a busy procedural environment serving adult and geriatric patients with a daily census of 15–25.
Clinical Scope
The facility operates 3 cath labs and 2 EP labs. You'll assist with and scrub diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology procedures, central line placements, IABP and Impella insertions, and procedural sedation monitoring. You'll manage post-procedure care, monitor dysrhythmias, maintain IV infusion devices, and ensure infection prevention and radiation safety protocols.
Scheduling & Call Requirements
- Day shift, 5 days per week (7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.)
- Call: 1 weekend per month and 1–2 weekdays per week
- Float within facility scope of practice and to other nearby facilities as needed
- Major holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day) are expected work days
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years cath lab or similar procedural experience required
- RN license: Georgia or Compact state
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Travel experience preferred
- Trauma center experience (Level I or II) preferred
Additional Details
- Maximum 7 days unpaid time off per contract; all requests must be finalized at time of submission
