Medical-Surgical Telemetry | Night Shift | Huntington, WV

We're seeking an experienced Med-Surg Telemetry nurse for a 13-week night shift contract in Huntington, WV. This is a fast-paced, acute care environment within a major teaching hospital that supports a broad, complex patient population.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Estimated start date: October 12, 2026

Position Details

• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg Telemetry experience required
• Travel experience preferred; local candidates (within 50 miles) are not eligible
• Scrub color: Hunter Green (facility-issued surgical scrubs provided when assigned to the OR)
• Parking is complimentary for travelers

Clinical Environment

The unit operates within a short-term acute care, teaching hospital setting. Nurses care for a diverse patient population with a range of medical-surgical and telemetry needs, reflecting the complexity typical of a tertiary academic environment.

Compliance & Onboarding

• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
• Orientation includes approximately 4–6 hours of non-billable online modules, completed at the start of the contract and annually thereafter
• Candidate's full legal name, including middle name or initial, is required at submission

Requirements

• 2+ years of Med-Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Active RN license (or compact eligibility for WV)
• Relevant certifications as applicable to specialty
