Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for its obstetric unit. You'll care for patients throughout the labor and delivery process, providing comprehensive nursing support during one of life's most important moments.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 3 × 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of L&D nursing experience
• Current Georgia or compact nursing license
• BLS (AHA), NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications required
• Proficiency in IV insertion
• ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

You'll manage labor progression, monitor fetal heart rates, assist with deliveries, and provide postpartum care. You may be asked to float to other nursing departments as operational needs arise.

This is a hands-on role in a busy obstetric environment. You'll work independently and collaboratively with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compassionate care for mothers and newborns.
