Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN for a day shift assignment. You'll provide direct patient care in a telemetry unit, monitoring and managing patients with cardiac and post-operative conditions.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- 13-week contract
- Start date: October 23, 2026
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- Active RN license (Ohio or compact state license in hand at time of submission)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- One professional reference from a manager, charge nurse, or supervisor in the specialty (references from past 12 months; co-worker references will not be accepted)
Orientation & Compliance
During orientation, you will complete:
- ECG rhythm recognition assessment
- safeMedicate module (acceptable score required on both; maximum 2 attempts)
- Pre-start and annual competency modules
- Background check and drug screening per facility policy
Important Notes
- Candidates may extend the contract for up to 18 months, followed by a required 6-month break (may be deferred by facility approval)
- Background checks must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
