Position: PCU Nurse – Regional Float Assignment
Location: Northern Colorado
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 hours scheduled / 24 hours guaranteed)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: October 19, 2026
About the Role
You'll provide skilled nursing care across progressive care and medical/surgical units in a regional network. Your patients include cardiac, medical, orthopedic, and neuro populations. You'll be expected to float between assigned facilities as needed to support unit staffing.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in PCU and M/S settings across multiple acuity levels
- Read and monitor cardiac telemetry strips proficiently
- Support both routine and acute patient needs
- Work every other weekend and holidays per unit rotation
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 24 months PCU experience with current practice in the last 12 months
- Active RN license (Colorado) with no practice violations
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA, ARC, or ASHI)
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to start by October 26, 2026 at the latest
Expectations
- Navy scrubs required
- No time off during the first week of assignment
- Maximum 7 days PTO during contract period
- Travel experience preferred but not required
- Flexibility with locations and shifts expedites placement
