PCU / Stepdown

Cardiovascular Unit – RN

Shift: 12-hour days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Contract: 13 weeks

Location: Chico, CA

About the Role

The Cardiovascular Unit provides medical, pre-operative, and post-operative surgical care to medium to high-acuity patients. You'll care for a diverse patient population ranging from young adults to geriatrics with complex cardiac and vascular conditions.

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

Patients commonly include those with:

• Cardiac diagnoses and arrhythmia detection
• Pre/post cardiac artery bypass surgery
• Carotid endarterectomy
• Acute Myocardial Infarction (MI)
• Post pacemaker insertion
• Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
• ia and related conditions

Patients are stable or have high potential for becoming unstable and require a higher level of nursing care than general units.

Requirements

• Current California RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Minimum 2 years critical care experience
• Electronic health record proficiency
• Successful completion of previous travel assignments preferred
• Flexibility to float to other units, including Med/Surg, as needed
