Emergency Room RN — Contract | Austin, TX | 13 Weeks

This 13-week contract places you in a fast-paced Emergency Department in the South Austin area, managing a diverse patient population across acute, cardiac/trauma, and behavioral health presentations. The unit operates around the clock with strong multidisciplinary support, including charge nurses, PCTs, paramedics, and LVNs on both day and night shifts.

Shift Details

• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Rotating weekends; no on-call requirement
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Clinical Scope

The ED handles a broad acuity range, including trauma assists, resuscitations, airway management, central line placement, rapid infusion, cardiac monitoring, splinting, EKGs, and behavioral health de-escalation. You'll work across distinct care areas including fast track and behavioral health pods.

Required Certifications

• ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma experience
• Inpatient holding experience
• CPI certification
