Night Shift RN – Intermediate Medical Care

Position Details

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Duration: 12 weeks
• Start Date: August 31, 2026
• Location: Longview, TX
• Position Type: Full-Time

Clinical Setting

You'll work in an intermediate medical care unit managing a diverse patient population with respiratory conditions, sepsis, and multiple comorbidities. This role requires independent practice and the ability to manage both routine and complex patient care needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Manage medications and treatments per protocol; monitor effectiveness and side effects
• Recognize and respond to complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess patient and family learning needs; provide appropriate education
• Delegate tasks effectively to optimize patient outcomes
• Manage contingencies and long-range care goals

Requirements

• RN license in Texas or compact state
• Minimum 2 years experience in a related nursing specialty
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Onboarding

New hires participate in structured orientation, preceptorship with an experienced staff nurse, and competency validation within the first 30 days.
