Senior Administrative Professional
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced administrative professional to implement, oversee, and coordinate administrative functions supporting a department and its functional areas. You'll serve as a key liaison and resource for departmental operations, working closely with hospital leadership, physicians, and external contacts on complex, sensitive, and confidential matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procedures, processes, and systems to ensure smooth departmental operations
- Train and educate new staff on department and organizational policies
- Monitor budget projections against actual expenditures; prepare regular operational and financial reports for senior management
- Manage legal documents, contracts, and bills with attention to accuracy and compliance
- Prepare high-level, confidential correspondence and reports for leadership
- Create PowerPoint presentations and develop spreadsheets for data tracking and analysis
- Coordinate departmental events, meetings, travel arrangements, and expense reimbursements
- Lead administrative staff and participate in interdisciplinary teams on special projects
- Represent the department at meetings and serve on assigned committees
- Serve as a principal resource on departmental matters and policies
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- 5–8 years of related administrative work experience
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Ability to produce complex documents and perform detailed analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hospital or academic administration
Position Details
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 8-hour days
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly
- No float required
- Physical Nature: Sedentary work with occasional lifting (up to 10 lbs); predominantly sitting
