Travel Ultrasound Technologist – Outpatient & Emergency Department Coverage

High Point, NC | 13-Week Contract | Evenings

This ultrasound position covers both outpatient and emergency department imaging, with the tech working independently across a broad scope of studies. A radiologist is available by phone for urgent consultations.

Schedule

4x9.5-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–1:30 AM

Clinical Scope

• General, abdominal, OB/GYN, renal/pelvic, small parts, and vascular ultrasound
• Carotid imaging and Doppler studies (upper and lower extremity arterial)
• Portable and PACS-based imaging
• Patient population spans infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of sonography experience; prior travel experience required
• ARDMS credentials required: AB and OB/GYN; RVT certification required
• BLS required
• Active, unencumbered license in hand at time of submission
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius

Additional Details

• Contract start: October 12, 2026
• Orientation: approximately 24 hours (non-billable modules average 2–4 hours)
• Travelers may be floated to other facility campuses as needed
• Team-oriented environment; techs may assist with patient transport/movement in other modalities during downtime
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• No pre-approved time off; RTO must be submitted with application
• Background check: no open cases permitted; third-party education verification required
