Night Shift Med/Surg Telemetry RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry nurse for a 13-week night shift contract. You'll work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, caring for patients on telemetry monitoring in a medical-surgical unit.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Current Ohio state license or active compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications
• Professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in Med/Surg Tele (from past 12 months)
• Willing to complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation (2 attempts maximum to pass)
• Negative background check with no open cases or license hits
• Current drug screen (10-panel)

What to Expect

You'll provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing the acuity typical of medical-surgical patients. Orientation will include competency modules (average 6–15 hours) completed before your start date and annually thereafter.

Extensions & Returns

Eligible candidates may extend for up to 18 months; a 6-month break is required before returning to the facility.
