Respiratory Therapist – Pediatric ICU & NICU
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join its pediatric critical care team. You'll provide respiratory support to high-acuity pediatric patients across neonatal, pediatric, and cardiovascular intensive care units.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 3x12-hour (19:00–07:30) or 4x12-hour options
- 12-week contract
- Potential float assignments to affiliated pediatric facilities
Required Qualifications
- Ohio RRT license (active, in hand at submission)
- NBRC certification (active)
- BLS, Advanced NRP, and PALS (all current)
- Minimum 2 years experience in neonatal, pediatric, or cardiovascular critical care
- Two current professional references (manager, supervisor, or director level; from assignments in past 12 months)
Clinical Scope
You'll work in high-acuity settings managing ventilator management, airway support, and respiratory assessment for critically ill pediatric patients. Experience with neonatal and pediatric populations is essential.
Important Requirements
- Nicotine-free status required (smoke-free facility; cotinine drug screen mandatory)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
- Two fingerprints (one onsite before start, one through agency)
- BCI/FBI background clearance within 48 hours of contract signing
- Complete work history disclosure required at submission
- All required certifications must be submitted before start date
Contract Terms
- 48 guaranteed hours per week
- Extensions available up to 18 months; 6-month break required thereafter
- Annual hands-on competency required for continuous contracts
