Respiratory Therapist — Pediatric ICU/NICU
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for night shift work in pediatric critical care. You'll provide respiratory support to high-acuity children across neonatal, pediatric, and cardiovascular intensive care units.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour (19:00–07:30)
- 24-week contract (13-week contracts considered)
- 48 guaranteed hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Current Ohio RRT license (must be active at submission)
- NBRC certification (active)
- BLS, Advanced NRP, and PALS (all current and active)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric respiratory care (NICU, PICU, or CVICU)
- Two professional references from a manager, supervisor, or director within the past 12 months
Clinical Scope
You'll manage ventilator support, airway management, and respiratory care for critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients. Float assignments may include rehab and NICU placements at affiliated facilities.
Pre-Start Requirements
- Two background checks and fingerprinting (one onsite, one through agency) — must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- Negative 10-panel drug screen + nicotine screening within 12 months of start
- All certifications and work history (including any prior facility positions) submitted at application
- Nicotine-free policy — no exceptions
Additional Notes
Annual hands-on competency required for candidates on continuous contracts of 1+ year. Extensions available up to 18 months; 6-month break required thereafter.
