Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced telemetry environment, managing patients with cardiac monitoring needs and those requiring ventilator support.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour rotating shifts: Days (07:00–19:30) and nights (19:00–07:30)
- Shift rotation may vary to meet operational needs; the facility will work to honor your preference when possible
- Every other holiday coverage required
Float & Clinical Scope
You may float to other medical-surgical and emergency care units to support similar patient populations. The unit manages telemetry patients, including post-cardiac cases and those on mechanical ventilation.
Requirements
- License: Permanent Ohio license or compact state license (in hand at time of submission)
- Experience: Minimum 12 months permanent experience in medical-surgical telemetry
- Certifications: Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Assessments: You'll complete ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation (must pass both; two attempts maximum)
- Reference: One manager, supervisor, or director reference from the past 12 months (required for submission)
Additional Notes
Background check required; open cases or license issues will disqualify applicants. BCI/FBI prints must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
