Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract. You'll provide direct patient care on a busy med/surg telemetry unit, monitoring patients with cardiac conditions and managing acute medical and surgical populations.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-Hour Rotating Shifts: Day (07:00–19:30) and Night (19:00–07:30)
• Shifts may rotate as needed to meet operational demands; the facility will honor your preferred schedule when possible
• You must work at least every other holiday

Clinical Scope

• Telemetry monitoring and ECG interpretation
• Care of post-operative and acute medical patients
• Potential to float to related units to care for the same patient populations
• Possibility of managing ventilator-dependent patients
• You'll complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and medication safety assessment during orientation; acceptable scores on both are required (maximum two attempts)

Requirements

• License: Permanent Ohio license or active Compact state license (required at time of submission)
• Experience: Minimum 12 months of permanent experience in med/surg or telemetry nursing
• Certifications: Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required in hand at submission)
• Reference: One supervisor, manager, ANM, or director reference from the past 12 months (no peer references)
• Background: Clear background check and drug screen; no open cases or license issues
