Med/Surg Tele RN – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN to join a dynamic nursing team. You'll provide care for medical and surgical patients on telemetry monitoring, with the opportunity to float to related units to care for similar patient populations.
Shift & Schedule
- Rotating 3x12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- The facility will make every effort to honor your preferred shift but reserves the right to adjust scheduling based on operational needs
- Weekend and holiday coverage required (at least every other holiday)
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and care for med/surg telemetry patients
- Perform ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments (completed during orientation; you'll have two attempts to achieve a passing score)
- Float to other units as needed to maintain continuity of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Requirements
- 12 months of permanent experience in med/surg or tele nursing
- Active licenses & certifications:
- Permanent Ohio license or compact state license (in hand at submission)
- BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- One manager or supervisor reference from work within the past 12 months (required for submission)
- COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions available)
- Background check and fingerprinting (BCI/FBI within 48 hours of contract signing)
