Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse
Position Overview
Join the facility's Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit for a 13-week contract. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment managing monitored patients, including those on ventilator support.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour rotating shifts: Day (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) or Night (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
- Shifts may rotate to meet operational needs; the facility will honor your preferred schedule when possible
- Required to work at least every other holiday
Clinical Scope
You'll care for medical/surgical telemetry patients with potential to float to other units (J1-2, J33, and ED) caring for similar patient populations. Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, patient assessment, medication administration, and care coordination.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele specialty
- Current, active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Permanent Ohio license or valid compact state license in hand at time of submission
- One professional reference (manager, supervisor, or director) required—no peer references
Orientation & Assessments
During orientation, you'll complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment. Acceptable scores on both are required; you'll have two attempts to pass.
