Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) — Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract on the night shift. You'll provide critical respiratory care across multiple units, supporting both adult and pediatric patients in acute care settings.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Weekdays with some weekend coverage required
- Float to other units as needed to support facility census
- No on-call requirement
- Guaranteed 72–80 hours per pay period
- Orientations held every other Monday
Clinical Scope
You'll manage patients across critical care and general care units, including:
- Mechanical ventilation setup, troubleshooting, and weaning
- Airway management (intubation assist, tracheostomy care, oral/nasal airway placement)
- High-flow oxygen delivery systems (HFNC, BiPAP, CPAP)
- Suctioning and specimen collection
- Hand-ventilation with bag and mask
Requirements
- License: West Virginia or Compact license (pending license accepted)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all via American Heart Association)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year as an RRT or CRT; first-time travelers welcome
- Mask Fit Test: Required in advance (facility-approved masks)
- Flu Vaccine: Required (medical exemptions only); not required outside October 1 – March 31
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required

- 2 manager/charge nurse references (past 2 years)
- Current license verification
- Specialty skills checklist
- Valid driver's license and SSN
- All materials due by Noon Monday prior to start date
