Urgent Care RN — Playa Vista, CA

13-Week Contract | 4x10 Days | Start: October 2026

This urgent care position serves a diverse patient population spanning pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics presenting with acute injuries and illness. The role requires a clinically versatile nurse comfortable managing a high volume of walk-in cases across a broad acuity range.

Schedule

• Rotating schedule: Monday–Friday 11:30 AM–10:00 PM / Saturday–Sunday 8:30 AM–7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required, with some holiday coverage
• Float required to a nearby urgent care location
• No scheduling requests accommodated; no time off in the first two weeks

Clinical Scope

• EKG acquisition and interpretation
• IV placement and infusion management
• Wound care, laceration management, suture removal, and splinting
• Nebulizer treatments and respiratory care
• Telephone and follow-up
• Immunizations, urinalysis, venipuncture, and specimen handling
• Emergency medications and cardiac arrest/CPR response

Requirements

• Active California RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Urgent Care or ER experience
• Minimum 2 years of overall outpatient experience
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
• ACLS preferred
• Flu vaccine required — no declinations or exemptions
• Two supervisory references from within the past year required at submission
