Ultrasound Technologist – Travel Assignment
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel contract in a combined ultrasound department. You'll perform diagnostic imaging across women's health, vascular, and general ultrasound specialties for patients of all ages—from neonates to geriatrics.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, 5 days per week
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Weekend Coverage: Required; some shifts may include weekend and weekday rotation
- On-Call: At least one call per week; flexibility required for staffing changes
- Float: You may be asked to cover both the main hospital (3 ultrasound rooms) and the outpatient center (3 rooms)
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience
- Current compact state license required at submission
- BLS certification
- ARDMS certification (ARDMS-AB, ARDMS-BR, ARDMS-FE, and/or ARDMS-OB preferred)
- Valid references covering 1 year of recent work history
- Travel experience required
- Willing to work 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Clinical Scope
Daily caseload of 8–20 exams. Experience with obstetric (1st, 2nd, 3rd trimester; nuchal translucency), abdominal, pelvic, vascular (arterial and venous), carotid, renal, thyroid, breast, and pediatric ultrasound preferred. Ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies and aspirations may be included.
