Operating Room Nurse – Multi-Specialty

About the Role

The facility's operating room handles a wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, neurology, orthopedics, transplant (solid organ), gynecology, bariatrics, urology, ENT, plastics, and ophthalmology. You'll work in a fast-paced surgical environment supporting diverse procedural cases.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 3 x 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Weekend & Call: Variable coverage (details discussed at interview)
• Float: Within facility scope of practice and to outpatient as needed
• Contract Length: 20 weeks
• Time Off: Maximum 7 days RTO per contract. All RTO must be finalized at submission. No RTO during orientation week or blackout dates (11/23–11/29, 12/21–1/3).

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years OR experience prior to travel assignment
• HARD STOP: Must have demonstrated experience in neurology, transplant, general surgery, GYN, and orthopedics
• Current BLS certification
• Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Travel experience required; not for first-time travelers

Clinical Skills

Experience with procedures including craniotomy, laminectomy/discectomy, spinal fusion (ALIF/XLIF), total joint replacement, organ donation, hysterectomy, laparoscopic procedures, and general surgical cases.

Onboarding

All compliance documents due by Tuesday prior to start date. Core items and labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing. Orientation includes non-billable specialty modules (36 hours).
