Medical-Surgical / Telemetry RN — Travel Contract

Lubbock, TX | Days 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 13-Week Contract

The clinical team manages a broad range of diagnoses requiring continuous telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, wound care, and respiratory support. Expect a fast-paced environment with strong interdisciplinary collaboration including pharmacy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, social services, and rapid response teams.

Schedule & Float

• Three 12-hour day shifts per week (07:00–19:00)
• Every other weekend required (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
• Float required to other acute care units within the hospital; refusal to float may affect guaranteed hours
• No on-call required

Required Certifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Key Clinical Skills Required

• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Central line, PICC line, and peripheral IV care
• Blood product administration and heparin protocols
• IV insulin protocols and PCA management
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) and oxygen therapy
• Wound care/wound vac
• Isolation precautions/PPE and rapid response participation

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; prior travel contract experience required
• Valid compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Scrubs: solid navy blue
• 40-hour orientation; holiday flexibility required
• Two professional references (within the last 3 years) required prior to start
