Labor and Delivery RN — Night Shift
Location: Dallas, TX
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3 nights per week)
Contract: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
About the Role
Required Experience & Credentials
- Minimum 2 years of high-risk labor and delivery bedside experience
- Competency circulating in cesarean sections
- Ability to recover and manage high-acuity postpartum patients
- Current RN licensure (Texas)
- Intermediate AWHONN fetal monitoring certification required
Clinical Scope
You'll manage:
- Vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
- Cervical ripening, , and labor management
- Postpartum recovery care
- Dilation & curettage (D&C) assistance
- Magnesium sulfate management (stable and unstable presentations)
Floating: As needed to antepartum unit within Women's Services.
Facility Guidelines
- Dress Code: Professional scrubs (color designated by unit); clean, healthy nails (no artificial/gel); neat hair pulled back if shoulder-length or longer; visible tattoos and piercings (except ears) not permitted
- Attendance: Standard facility attendance policy applies
- Call Requirements: Discuss during interview
This is a high-volume assignment requiring strong clinical judgment and stamina for night-shift operations.
