Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Labor & Delivery nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work a 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM shift on a high-volume perinatal service delivering comprehensive intrapartum and postpartum care.
About the Unit
This is a busy labor and delivery service managing over 500 deliveries per month. The unit includes labor/delivery/recovery suites, operating rooms for cesarean delivery, areas, mother-baby couplet rooms, and antepartum monitoring beds. You'll work alongside in-house attending physicians, anesthesia, and neonatal specialists 24/7, with an active perinatal transport program.
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas Registered Nurse license
- BLS Provider certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
- Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery or perinatal nursing experience in a high-volume setting
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5 years of perinatal clinical experience
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Program certification
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
