Location: Birmingham, AL
Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role
The facility is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams in a fast-paced radiology department. You'll operate CT equipment, prepare and administer contrast media, and ensure high-quality diagnostic images that support patient care and physician decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging exams per physician orders with accurate positioning and optimal image quality
- Prepare patients and administer contrast media per protocol; monitor for adverse reactions
- Review patient histories and screen for contraindications (allergies, renal function, pregnancy status)
- Operate and maintain CT equipment; troubleshoot technical issues as needed
- Follow radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles
- Document exams accurately in imaging systems
- Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure diagnostic quality
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required
- ARRT certification in CT (ARRT-CT) required
- Current state radiologic technology license
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years inpatient hospital CT experience required
- Travel experience required
- IV certification/venipuncture skills required
