Certified Surgical Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to provide direct support in the operating room. You'll work as a key member of the surgical team, implementing protocols, monitoring the surgical environment, and coordinating care across multiple disciplines to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Clinical Scope
You'll support surgical cases across orthopedics, neurosurgery, robotics-assisted procedures, and ENT. This role requires strong foundational knowledge in orthopedic and neurological surgery, with experience in robotic-assisted techniques across multiple specialties.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain sterile field and ensure Standard Precautions are followed
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments and equipment
- Assist surgical teams during operative procedures
- Monitor and communicate patient condition as appropriate
- Support discharge planning coordination with healthcare team members
- Exercise critical thinking and independent judgment in a fast-paced OR environment
Required Qualifications
- Current NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist credential
- Valid state license verified through Nursys
- Demonstrated experience in orthopedic and neurosurgical cases
- Proficiency with robotic-assisted surgical systems
- Ability to thrive in a high-stress, dynamic surgical environment
