Speech Language Pathologist – Pediatric Feeding & Swallowing
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join the pediatric team on a 6-month contract. You'll work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, providing feeding and swallowing services across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of pediatric feeding and swallowing experience
- Independent completion of pediatric assessments
- Massachusetts State Licensure
- ASHA Certification
- Current CPR Certification
Preferred Experience
- NICU or pediatric inpatient/intensive care backgrounds
- Tracheostomy and ventilator management
- Outpatient clinical feeding evaluations
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct feeding and swallowing evaluations and treatment across inpatient, outpatient, and modified barium swallow (MBS) settings
- Transition flexibly between care environments based on patient needs
- Attend all team meetings during work hours
- Complete departmental SLP training and competency sign-off upon hire
- Maintain departmental standards for documentation and patient care
- Report to the Pediatric SLP Section Leader
What to Expect
You'll work with a collaborative pediatric team and be expected to demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic clinical environment. Upon start, you'll complete orientation and competency training specific to the facility's pediatric SLP protocols.
Contract Details
- 40 hours per week
- 6-month assignment
- Monday–Friday schedule
