Cath Lab Recovery RN | Asheville, NC | 13-Week Contract
This Cath Lab Recovery RN role focuses on preparing and recovering patients following cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology (EP) lab procedures. The unit manages a procedural patient population with an emphasis on cardiac diagnoses, including structural heart cases.
Shift & Schedule
- Three 12-hour shifts per week (primarily 06:00–18:30, with one 08:00–20:30 shift per week)
- No weekly call or weekend requirements
- Occasional flex based on volume; rarely floated (IR Pre/Post only)
Clinical Responsibilities
- Sheath pulls and groin management
- Radial access site management
- Cardioversions
- Moderate sedation monitoring
- General anesthesia (GA) recovery
Required Experience & Certifications
- ICU or Cardiac Stepdown experience required
- Prior Cath Lab or EP Lab experience strongly preferred
- Competency in sheath pulls required
- Moderate sedation experience preferred
- ACLS certification required
- Active RN license
Additional Details
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Start date: July 6, 2026
- Dress code: Green hospital-issued scrubs
