Psychiatric Nurse – Night Shift

About the Role
Join the psychiatric nursing team at the facility in Asheville, providing direct patient care on the night shift. You'll work in a supportive clinical environment focused on evidence-based mental health treatment and patient safety.
What You'll Do
- Deliver compassionate psychiatric nursing care to hospitalized patients
- Conduct patient assessments, monitor mental and physical health status, and document care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, therapists, and case managers
- Administer medications and monitor therapeutic responses
- Support patients in crisis and de-escalation situations
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment on the unit
Requirements
- Current RN license (state-specific)
- Psychiatric nursing experience preferred
- Strong communication and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- Compassion for patients with mental health and substance use disorders
