Position Overview

The facility's endoscopy department is seeking an experienced Endoscopy RN for a 13-week contract. You'll work four 9-hour day shifts Monday through Friday, with start times varying by daily assignment (typically 0630–1730). The role includes one overnight call shift per week and two 24-hour weekend call shifts per 6-week period.

Shift Schedule & Call Expectations

• Day shifts: Four 9-hour shifts weekly; start times assigned based on pre-op, PACU, or procedure room needs
• Pre-op: 0630–1600 or 0700–1630 (2 RNs per day)
• PACU: 0800–1730 or 0830–1800 (3 RNs per day)
• Procedure rooms: 0730–1700 (2–4 RNs per day)
• Weeknight call: One shift per week, starting at end of 9-hour shift until 7 a.m.
• Weekend call: Two 24-hour shifts per 6-week period (Saturday, Sunday, or both)

Clinical Scope

You'll support adult and pediatric endoscopic procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, ERCP, bronchoscopy, stent placements, PEG placement, foreign body removal, and more. The unit manages 8 pre-op beds, 6 PACU beds, and 4 procedure rooms with 12–16 staff depending on case volume.

Required Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Active NC or Compact State Nursing License
• Prior endoscopy experience required

Preferred

• Pediatric endoscopy experience
• Pulmonary endoscopy experience
• Endoscopy tech background

• Dress code: Green surgical scrubs provided; navy blue acceptable
• No floating unless volunteer
• No block scheduling accommodated
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
