Registered Respiratory Therapist — Pediatric ICU
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for night shifts in a pediatric critical care setting. You'll provide advanced respiratory support to critically ill children, managing complex airway and ventilation needs in a fast-paced, clinically rich environment.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Flexible scheduling to meet departmental needs
- Must float to other units as assigned
- Must work at least one winter holiday per departmental need
- 36 guaranteed hours weekly
- 13-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Current RRT license (Georgia)
- 2+ years pediatric ICU/critical care experience
- Extensive PICU and NICU background required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
- Proficiency with inhaled nitric oxide, heliox, and advanced ventilator management
- NRP certification preferred
Clinical Scope
You'll manage high-acuity pediatric patients across multiple settings, administering continuous and intermittent aerosol medications, operating specialized respiratory equipment, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in a Level I Trauma setting.
Facility Requirements
- Nicotine-free facility; drug and nicotine screening required
- Flu vaccination required for flu season (no exemptions)
- Active Georgia license at time of submission
